This program prepares you to be efficient in the front office of a medical facility. A Healthcare Information Specialist also ensures the information that goes into the medical chart and computer is accurate and complete. This person must correctly code for diseases, diagnosis and treatment. The code determines the amount the hospital will be reimbursed. Healthcare Information Specialist graduates play a key role in a wide variety of health care settings.

Healthcare Information Specialist is a fast growing field due to ever changing technology. Our program provides a practical and intense environment to ensure that our students are prepared for that very first day of their new career. Knowledge developed in medical terminology, insurance/coding and office skills coupled with computer software knowledge, provides the graduate the flexibility to work within any medical setting.
